The Hazard!
The resin filling on the pump does not completely cover wiring and water can make contact with the pump’s main connection.
If water makes contact with the pump’s main connection, the device is likely to conduct an electric current to the water which could cause electric shock or electrocution.
What to do...
Stop using your pump and return it to the nearest Bunnings store for a replacement product.
