The Hazard!
The One4Life Slim Click Tight All-in-One labels and user guide incorrectly listed 40 lbs as the maximum rear-facing lower anchor weight.
Instead, the maximum rear-facing lower anchor weight should be 35 lbs, in accordance with S5.5.2(l)(3) (i (C) of FMVSS No. 213.
Britax has determined that the maximum rear-facing lower anchor weight calculation listed on the One4Life Slim Click Tight All-in-One label and user guide does not meet the requirement of S5.5.2(l)(3)(i (C) of FMVSS No. 213, and, if the One4Life Slim Click Tight All-in-One is installed rear-facing using lower connectors with a child weighing over 35 lbs., it may not adequately protect the child from injury in the event of a crash.
What to do...
Owners of a One4Life Slim Click Tight All-in-One manufactured between September 18, 2024, and October 11, 2024, should contact Britax to arrange a remedy kit to be mailed free of charge.
The remedy kit will include:
- a label to be inserted to correct the user guide
- replacement labels to be placed over the original on-product labels
- an instruction sheet for application of the remedy labels
