The Subject Product is the Brompton T-Line Model M Bike (referred to as Mid handlebar in consumer marketing), which is a foldable bicycle product with 349 x 35C wheels, sold in raw titanium finish - the product is 25.4” H x 23.6” W x 12.6” D when folded, and weighs approximately 7.95kg.
The product has the word “Brompton” printed on the center tube of the bike frame, and a label providing the frame number and serial number on the back of the vertical seat tube, and the label also has a distinctive “T” logo distinguishing this model.
Sold at Australian distributors into New Zealand, but all three have been updated, from 1 Feb 2023 to 1 Sep 2024.

A customer can experience, under certain conditions, a loss of alignment between the handlebar and front wheel - this occurs after a certain period in service, usually when setting off from stationary or when under load, which can cause the rider to lose control of the steering, posing a fall hazard.
The bike has been tested against regulatory standards and compliance has been confirmed, but a customer can experience, under certain conditions, a loss of alignment between the handlebar and front wheel.

A global recall has been issued by Brompton and there are 3 bikes affected in New Zealand - Brompton Bicycle Ltd have had confirmation that all these 3 bikes have been updated (2 by the retailer and 1 by a customer).
So, there is no further action required.
