The Hazard!
There is a risk of leakage from the caps of the trigger-spray bottles and/or a risk that the product packaging will expand/bloat.
The affected BC36 product could pose a potential safety risk to consumers. If the product leaks from the cap, the leaking product may cause skin and/or eye irritation and damage to the user, and may be harmful if the contents are ingested or inhaled.
What to do...
The recall in New Zealand is being conducted by ITW Australia Pty Limited (ITWA). ITWA has arranged for ITW New Zealand Limited (ITWNZ) to collect the recalled products in New Zealand.
ITWA intends to have affected products collected directly from consumers by ITWNZ.
When handling the product, consumers should wear gloves and eye protection. Check the container’s cap is sufficiently tightened and not damaged. Check the packaging container for any leaks or damage. Consumers are advised to place the affected product in a plastic bag secured with a cable tie until collection can be arranged. Consumers should thoroughly wash their hands after handling the product, even if there is no obvious sign of leakage.
Consumers will receive a full refund or store credit for the affected product when it is collected.
Consumers should contact ITW New Zealand on 09 272 1945 to arrange for the products to be collected.
