The Hazard!
The front bell crank in the brake linkage can fail causing the tractor to lose braking, resulting in a crash hazard - because these tractors are equipped with both a ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) and a seatbelt, the most likely injuries are bumps and bruises.
What to do...
John Deere is using a Customer Letter to notify consumers on this issue and to advise them to stop using their tractor until it has been repaired, and when repair parts are available, John Deere will send a second Customer Letter to the consumers, informing them that parts are available and instruct them to contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free repair.
