The Hazard!
Polaris has determined that the exterior door handle actuators on some Model Year 2024-2025 Ranger XD 1500 and Crew XD 1500 vehicles may stick and cause the door to unexpectedly open, and, if the door unexpectedly opens while the vehicle is moving, it could cause an unrestrained rider to be ejected from the vehicle or increase the risk of a crash, posing a risk of serious injury.
What to do...
As Polaris develops a permanent repair solution, affected vehicles may continue to be operated if a customer reviews the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) / Door Handle Acknowledgement statement in their email, wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and inspect the door handles for any signs of binding - RANGER XD 1500 Door Handle Inspection instructions will be provided to customers via mail.
These instructions can also be found in this Recall document on page 5 and can be provided to affected customers as needed.
