Potentially affected inverters (with Firmware 17) sold from 30 April to 19 July 2019 Firmware versions other than version 17 are not affected and no action is required for these devices.
The Hazard!
Lifts using frequency inverters that have Firmware 17 installed may exhibit unexpected behaviour during operation.
When lifting/lowering the load, the load may become jerky, sag or fall uncontrollably, which can cause serious injury.
What to do...
Stop using the affected equipment immediately and contact SEW Eurodrive and ask for MOVITRAC® B product recall.
SEW Eurodrive has now contacted all end owners and completed the action.
