Potentially affected vehicles sold at Polaris dealers from October 2015 to October 2018 Polaris model year 2016, 2017 & 2018 Ranger 1000 Diesel Off road side by side utility vehicles.
The Hazard!
Some 2016-2018 Polaris Ranger 1000 Diesel vehicles had been produced with an improperly routed parking brake cable.
The parking brake cable could make contact with the electrical harness and cause premature wear. Premature wear to the electrical harness may potentially create an electrical short; this may pose a fire hazard
What to do...
Stop operating the vehicle and contact your Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment to have inspection and repair completed where necessary.
Polaris has also contacted all identified owners.
Note: the recall was commenced in November 2018 and you may have heard from Polaris at that time.
