The Hazard!
In the event of a stuck throttle cable the engine control unit (ECU) will illuminate the check engine light but will not limit engine RPM or vehicle speed.
If the throttle release switch fails and becomes stuck, it may pose a crash hazard.
What to do...
You should not use the vehicle until it has been inspected and repaired by an authorised Polaris dealer.
Owners will be contacted by Polaris and instructed to contact their local Polaris dealer and arrange for an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
