Product Identifiers
All B401 bases with a date code of 6043 or later and installed with S300 detectors are affected. The smoke detectors are installed in commercial buildings or apartment blocks, and will usually be connected to a fire alarm panel near the entrance of the building. They are usually coloured white, but may be alternative colours to match the ceiling. Please note that they do not have any sounder, emit any tones or warning signals, they do not contain batteries and they are not connected to the mains 240V power.
The Hazard!
The bases may not power up when combined with S300 smoke detectors.
Fire hazards may not be detected.
