The Hazard!
There is a loose fit between the brake hose and the barb, resulting in improper clamping of the hose.
If the hose is improperly clamped, the brake function could stop working and the rider could lose control of the bicycle and fall.
What to do...
If you have a bicycle with affected brakes, stop using the bicycle and contact an authorized Trek retailer for a free inspection and, if warranted, a repair of the brake hose where it connects to the brake lever.
