The Hazard!
The bikes do not meet relevant standards, that state:
- Maximum overall handlebar width should not exceed 700mm.
- Requires a chain guard to prevent entrapment of clothing/body parts.
No reports of injuries or incidents have been received by Giant.
What to do...
Owners should contact the Authorised Giant Retailer who the bike was purchased from or any other Authorised Giant retailer to arrange a time to have the handlebars on their bicycle appropriately modified and or the necessary chain guide fitted.
