Front and rear brake shoes in affected units (and these parts sold as spare parts) may contain asbestos.
Available information indicates that these affected units do not pose a measurable health risk through normal use.
Exposure to asbestos can result in asbestos related diseases.
What to do...
You should not perform any maintenance, repairs or modifications on these affected units that may involve contact with or disturbance of the brake shoes.
You will received a letter advising of the recall and also what to do to have the brake shoes replaced free of charge at a Yamaha Dealer.
